Bettina Schöpf is rated among the top international stars in her sport. Her childhood passion for climbing and the mountains made her an excellent representative of Austria at the Youth Climbing World Championship in Leipzig (Germany), 1995. From this point on, sports climbing became her life and the strict daily training was more than worthwhile: Bettina is 10 times Austrian Champion and European Champion 2004.
After a serious injury and two years long recovery period, she was back again in 2008 achieving a 4th position at the Austrian cup, the first competition which followed her recovery. Then, she got excellent results during the LEAD World Cup in Austria, reaching the semi finals. Competing with 15 top climbers, she went home with a fantastic 13th place. Moreover, she finished the National Cup in Austria with a phenomenal result: an amazing second place after her comeback to the climbing sport.
"In my eyes there is nothing more wonderful than outdoor sports, either climbing in parks or high up in the mountains. When it comes to sports, I'm always open and ready to try something new."
